As an artist, Borja’s mathematical orientation is borne out by his professional training. He has a background in aeronautics, particularly in aeronautical engineering, aircraft maintenance and air transport management. He acquired his on-the-job training as machinist in aircraft from the Philippine Air Transport Service. Indeed, he has an immense zest for aircraft; he is among the few people who can launch into the subject of the aspects and problems of airplane technology for hours on end while being able to sustain the interest of the complete uninitiate… mathematics and physics are central to his art.
